Long hanging garments include coats, dresses, gowns, long skirts and pants (if hung by the waist or cuff).

Typically positioned from 66" to 69" high depending on the length of the garments, use Easy Track shelves and rods for long garments.  Place additional Easy Track shelves above for shelving space.  Space underneath can be used for drawer space.

The majority of your hanging garments fall into this category.  They are shirts, blouses, jackets, suits and pants folded over a hanger.  For greater space efficiency, short hanging items are often "double-hung" - positioned in two rows, one above the other.

Short hanging lengths are typically 36" to 42".  Use Easy Track shelves and rods for single- and double-hung short hanging space.  Once again, place shelves above for shelving space. 

Shelving space is determined by how many and what type of things you store on shelves.  Think about things like folded clothes, shoe boxes, purses, out-of-season clothing or extra bedding.

Drawer space is determined by how many folded clothes you have.  Picture the things you'd normally put in a chest of drawers; underwear, socks, shirts, shorts, t-shirts, tops, hosiery, sweats, jeans, sweaters and sleepwear.

Shoe space is based on how many shoes you have and how you want to store them.  Keep in mind that the type of shoe (boot, athletic, dress, casual) as well as whether the shoes are women's or men's are factors to be considered.
